Sarah's Silks mini playsilks

 

Sarah's Silks mini playsilks are 21" squares that are dyed with non-toxic, eco-friendly dyes. One of the most versatile toys, one moment playsilks are a canopy to sit under, the next they are boiling lava to jump over. One can be grass to feed your horse, and another might be a doll carrier, a cape, or soup in a pot! The play options with playsilks are as limitless as your imagination. Available in a rainbow of colours, choose your favourite or collect a variety for even more fun. 

Sarah's Silks makes some of the finest Waldorf inspired toys for children. Family owned, Sarah's Silks employs seamstresses, craftspeople, and farms in China who have long specialized in the Habotai silks. All of the playsilks are a light and airy 5mm weight, and the other silk toys are 8mm, which is a little heavier. 

Washing the playsilks is easy and makes for a fun activity for kids. Simply hand wash in the sink or a basin with warm water and mild dish soap or laundry detergent. It's best to wash dark silks separately from light silks. Get them nice and soapy, then rinse until the water runs clear. Hang the wet silk to dry on a clothesline and you may choose to iron on medium to restore the shine once dry. Wet silk looks pretty and feels interesting and most children enjoy the process of washing the playsilks.
